As part of a never-ending campaign to reduce my consumption of online “news” to the bare essentials, I have found a handy way to cut out much of the pabulum.
Any purported news story whose headline begins with the words “reality star reveals” automatically gets the ax. But why stop there? The same applies to any purported news story that begins with the words “reality star.” And the next step? Carry the campaign to its logical conclusion, by ignoring any purported news story that has the word “star” in the headline. Unless it has to do with astronomy.
