Happy Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day! This Québec holiday, which was brought to
la Nouvelle France by settlers from France, is also known as the Fête
nationale du Québec. My 17th-century ancestors were among the first
settlers in what is now Québec, so although I was born and raised here in the United States, I try to remember to fly the Québec
flag on June 24, in their memory.
