New England's National Historic Landmarks: Massachusetts


The National Register of Historic Places contains more than 85,000 sites, but only some 2,500 of them have been listed as National Historic Landmarks. New England is home to hundreds of these particularly significant structures, objects and places.

George R. Minot House, Brookline


George R. Minot (1885–1950) was awarded a Nobel Prize for his work finding a treatment for pernicious anemia. This 1920s suburban house was his home from 1929 until his death.
