New England's National Historic Landmarks: Massachusetts


The National Register of Historic Places contains more than 85,000 sites, but only some 2,500 of them have been listed as National Historic Landmarks. New England is home to hundreds of these particularly significant structures, objects and places.

MASSACHUSETTS
Memorial Hall, Harvard University, Cambridge

This High Gothic hall was built in the 1870s as Harvard University's memorial to its fallen in the Civil War. Its amenities include Annenberg Hall and Sanders Theater, a performance space.
