New England's National Historic Landmarks: Vermont


The National Register of Historic Places contains more than 85,000 sites, but only some 2,500 of them have been listed as National Historic Landmarks. New England is home to hundreds of these particularly significant structures, objects and places.

Rockingham Meeting House, Rockingham

The Rockingham Meeting House was built between 1787 and 1801 and was originally used for both Congregational church meetings and governmental meetings. Church services ceased in 1839 but town meetings continued to be held there until 1869.
