New England's National Historic Landmarks: Massachusetts


The National Register of Historic Places contains more than 85,000 sites, but only some 2,500 of them have been listed as National Historic Landmarks. New England is home to hundreds of these particularly significant structures, objects and places.

Faneuil Hall, Boston

This iconic market building and meeting house was built in the 1760s and expanded in the 19th century. It was the site of many public meetings during the American Revolution.
