New England's National Historic Landmarks: Massachusetts


The National Register of Historic Places contains more than 85,000 sites, but only some 2,500 of them have been listed as National Historic Landmarks. New England is home to hundreds of these particularly significant structures, objects and places.

John and Priscilla Alden Family Sites, Duxbury

These two sites are associated with John and Priscilla Alden, who were the inspiration for Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's The Courtship of Miles Standish.
