Who wrote the autobiography of . . . . ?

If you’ve ever overheard a hilariously inane question in a bookstore, check out bookstorebingo on Twitter for more of the same. It features tweets from bookstore employees listing the strangest questions they have been asked by customers. A few of my favorites:

“Hey, where’s the books on grammar at?”

“I’m looking for The Autobiography of Mark Twain. I’m not sure who wrote it.”

"My daughter loved that Anne Frank book. What else did she write?"

“I need a book. I don’t know the name or what it’s about. It was on one of the talk shows.”

“Glenn Beck told me not to buy from socialist bookstores. You socialist?”

"Oh, I can't read books about cats. I'm allergic to cats!"

"These prices are ridiculous. That's why people steal them, you know. Writers shouldn't be paid so much."
