You never know what you'll find at the newsstand - except in the case of one frighteningly predictable magazine

Is there anything that would discourage me from buying a magazine more than having Oprah’s ubiquitous mug plastered on the cover? Yes! How about a magazine whose cover features Oprah (no last name required) and that unbelievably annoying doyen of bombast, Rosie O’Donnell? Together!

That’s what’s in store for anyone who stumbles upon the October issue of O, a magazine that is subtitled (just in case you couldn’t figure it out for yourself) The Oprah Magazine.

So if you're heading out to the newsstand for the latest issue of Field & Stream or the Journal of the Entomological Research Society, consider yourself forewarned. And remember . . .  even though O'Donnell doesn't usually make the cut, Oprah's face graces (for lack of a better word) every single cover of every single issue of every single O magazine. Month after month. Year after year. No, really. Check it out for yourself. If you dare.
